The background story...
Fruit wines from Rhythm Winery are something new, exciting, and Indian. Local Alphonso mangoes, strawberries, pineapples and peaches are some of the most well-known native fruits, fruits that celebrate the tropical spirit of the country. The Rhythm fruit wine range is not only an unconventional use of the fruits but creating a value added product from the abundance of them grown across the Indian Subcontinent. These wines has allowed exotic fruits such as the Alphonso Mango to be taken to consumers across India and the overseas as well. While the mentioned fruits are only available to consumers during the season, the wine can be consumed all year long.
Winery
All of Rhythm Winery’s fruit wines are manufactured in Pune. From the fruit to the final packaging, we are completely MADE IN INDIA. The fruit is sourced from different places across India, wherever it is grown best. For instance, the strawberries are sourced from Mahabaleshwar, Kiwis from Arunachal Pradesh and Peaches from Himachal. It is located outskirts of Pune, on the way to Khadakwasla, Narhegaon. They are currently under the process of shifting their manufacturing to a bigger facility in Pune itself where we would be having tours, tastings and a café as well.
Fruit & Grape
The Rhythm fruit wine rage is a blend of fruit and grape wine. The Chenin Blanc grape gives the fermented fruit juice a great structure without disturbing its fruity characteristics. The Alphonso Mango is a seasonal fruit, considered to be among the most superior varieties of the Mango, in terms of sweetness, richness and flavour. It is grown mainly in the Western Ghats of India, including Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri and Raigad districts and in the Konkan region of India. A 50-50 ratio of both the wines is generally used while blending, although it may differ slightly depending on the exact sugar, acidity and sourness of the fruit in that season.
